Kazakh Motor Company Astana Motors and China’s Great Wall Motor are expanding cooperation.

GWM’s management has chosen Haval Motor Kazakhstan, a subsidiary of Astana Motors, as a distributor of its high-end off-road vehicles — TANK. Akylbek Anarbayev, Director of Haval Motor Kazakhstan, notes: «We have cooperated with Great Wall Motor for about one year and a half, and have made a good showing of both ourselves and the favorite GWM brand — Haval. I think, it is therefore that we were trusted to present the company’s top model on Kazakhstan’s market — TANK.”

An agreement for assigning Haval Motor Kazakhstan the status of official distributor was signed at the 39th Thailand International Motor Expo 2022, where Great Wall Motor presented its most popular models, including TANK.

Tank was initially created for global markets as a conceptual competitor in the class of off-road vehicles. High-end, high-tech, innovative, smart and powerful. TANKs have a character of steel and brutal design.

There are only two models in the line-up today: TANK 300 and TANK 500. TANK 300 is a mid-size body-on-frame SUV built on the same platform as Haval H9. It is powered by a 2-liter turbo-charged petrol engine (227 hp and 381 Nm) and a classic 8-speed automatic transmission.

TANK 500 is full-size and impressive! It is equipped with a 3-liter turbo-charged petrol engine (354 hp) and a 9-speed automatic transmission. TANK 500 has four-wheel drive with a reduction gear, locking both differentials, and 11 off-road driving modes.

Kazakhstan residents will be able to meet the models as early as in spring, meanwhile the distributor is preparing to receive the elite guests — TANK 300 and TANK 500.

The Tank dealerships will operate in the 3S format: sales, service and spare parts.

«For us as the distributor, the most important thing in cooperating with Great Wall Motor is the unity of goals. The customer should feel special, the car should be reliable and the service should be impeccable! We agree completely with our Chinese partners about that and will surely prepare an impressive presentation of the brand,” Akylbek Anarbayev promised.
