World road cycling champion Yevgeniy Fedorov received a Kazakhstan-made Hyundai Elantra.

This is a well-deserved award for his splendid victory at the UCI Road World Championship in Australia in team time trial. Nurlan Smagulov, President of Kazakhstan’s Cycling Federation, congratulated the talented young champion on the outstanding achievement and presented him the car keys. The valuable gift was awarded to eminent cyclist Yevgeniy Fedorov at the Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan plant. The Astana Qazaqstan Team racer proved to be stronger than Mathias Vacek from the Czech Republic in the race for the podium.

— Preparations for the competition took me a very long time. It took the team I race for more than a year to prepare for the challenge. I have been racing for this team for two years now. I’d like to thank everyone involved for the training: Alexander Vinokurov, Nurlan Erkebulanovich, our sponsor. And thanks a lot for such a gift.

Yevgeniy Fedorov has been in cycling for 10 years. He is a trainee of Andrey Kivilev Taldykorgan Olympic Cycling Reserve School and has already received a gold medal at the 2018 Youth Olympics.
