Silkway Auto Kazakhstan, a part of Astana Motors, has been authorized to be a representative of the automobile brand Changan (PRC) in Kazakhstan. Silkway Auto Kazakhstan and Changan International Corporation have signed a distributor agreement.

Changan is one of the largest automotive companies in China. According to China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), group sales of Changan International Corporation rank first among Chinese auto brands globally. The company today is one of the technology leaders in the international automotive industry: investments in research and development have accounted for more than 5% of the group's global revenue over the past 16 years.

Nine specialized research and design centers of the company in 6 countries jointly create cars for buyers from more than 70 countries worldwide. Changan plants meet the highest global production standards.

Changan International Corporation has established several working alliance with the leading high-tech companies in the world. The global plans of the auto group include 3 million cars sold per year by 2025 where 35% of the vehicles are electric cars. By 2030, the company is planning to sell 4.5 million cars per year with 60% of those being electric cars.

Cars for the Changan dealer network will begin to arrive directly from China plants in September this year, when the Changan dealer center, designed according to the new brand standards, opens its doors in the new Mycar Kuldzhinka auto center in Almaty. The official distributor is planning to expand the chain to ten dealers in Almaty, Nur-Sultan, Atyrau, Karagandy, Kostanay, Pavlodar, Uralsk, Ust-Kamenogorsk and Shymkent by the end of this year. Eight more dealer centers will open in Aktobe, Aktau, Taraz, Kyzylorda, Petropavlovsk, Kokshetau, Semey, and Taldykorgan by the end of 2023.

The model range will include compact CS35PLUS and CS55 SUVs, CS75FLmid-size SUV, as well as the new technological flagman-model of Changan — UNI-K SUV, designed by a European design bureau in Turin. The model has been highly appreciated by first owners in China for its enhanced system, ergonomics, comfort and ultramodern design.
