Nurlan Smagulov through his fund allocated 5.6 billion tenge to help residents of the districts affected by floods this spring. The funds were used to purchase apartments for residents of West Kazakhstan region.

The Fund purchased 264 apartments, including 75 one-bedroom, 143 two-bedroom and 46 three-bedroom apartments.

Astana Group companies and the Nurlan Smagulov Foundation collectively allocated  6.1 billion Tenge for flood damage elimination.

Nurlan Smagulov, founder of Astana Group, said: “This is not just help, but the personal responsibility of the entire group of companies. Employees of MEGA Shopping and Entertainment Center network, Astana Motors and Mycar also did not stay aside and on their own initiative collected more than 10.4 million tenge, which in the form of humanitarian aid was sent to the residents of Atbasar district of Akmola region. I am grateful to my colleagues and our partners for taking the initiative and joining the assistance provided by the company”.

Recall that on April 1, 2024, Astana Motors was one of the first to announce that it would provide assistance and transferred 500 million tenge.

Chery brand, which is a part of Astana Motors, together with Chinese Chery International transferred humanitarian aid in the equivalent of 50 million tenge to North-Kazakhstan region.

Aydin Sultanov, director of the Nurlan Smagulov Foundation, said that according to the forecasts of builders, Kazakhstanis will be able to move into new apartments by the end of July.

“Finishing work is now underway and as soon as it's finished, 264 families will be able to celebrate a housewarming party.”
