March 21, 2025, in the German city of Mainz, the company "Astana Motors" (Republic of Kazakhstan) and Changan Automobile Group (People’s Republic of China) signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The document grants "Astana Motors" the right to begin the process of preparing a business plan, which in the near future will serve as the basis for signing a distribution agreement.

Thus, "Astana Motors" and Changan are willing to cooperate in depth and jointly promote the Changan, Deepal, and Avatr in the Republic of Poland – the key brands of the leading Chinese automotive corporation specializing in intelligent low-carbon technologies.

The signing ceremony took place as part of the official launch of the Changan brand in Europe under the slogan Sharing the Future, with the participation of business representatives from Germany, Poland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Greece, and other countries.

"Astana Motors" and Changan Automobile Group have been cooperating since September 2022, when the brand's sales began in Kazakhstan. Changan vehicles quickly established a strong reputation in the local market. Today, 20 official dealers in 14 cities across the country represent 9 models of the brand.

At the end of 2024, Changan entered the top 10 popular models in Kazakhstan, the share of 4.4% (according to the Kazakhstan Automotive Association, ҚAO). “Astana Motors” intends to expand the regional network of Changan in the region, and also establishes production of a number of models of the brand at the domestic multi-brand plant Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan in Almaty (launch - II quarter 2025).  

“Our successful partnership has become a solid basis for further distribution cooperation in Poland. We see high interest in Changan, Deepal, Avatr cars and believe that Astana Motors will create the best conditions to promote our brands” said Li Mingcai, Executive Vice President of Changan Automobile Group.

Changan vehicles for Poland will be supplied from China. In 2026, the model lineup for the country will include compact, mid-size, and large SUVs with hybrid and electric powertrains.

"Astana Motors" will begin developing its dealership network in Poland from the capital – Warsaw. Changan distribution in Poland will be managed exclusively by highly qualified and experienced local specialists.
