Sales will start in autumn with the Chery Tiggo 7 and Chery Tiggo 8 crossovers in versions with gasoline and hybrid (PHEV) engines.

Chery officially enters the Czech Republic market together with Kazakhstan-based Astana Motors. This was recently announced in Poland, where the Chery brand held a presentation for European car users. The special event was attended by representatives of Chery International and Astana Motors and distributors from other European markets (Hungary, Greece, Norway).

A distribution agreement was signed between Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. (PRC) and Astana Motors.

Chery is China’s largest passenger car exporter, holding this status for 22 years in a row. Chery cars are sold in more than 110 countries and regions around the globe, with a total of over 15 million users, including 4.5 million from outside China.

Chery continues to expand its international presence and plans to launch a mass-market line of TIGGO models in several European countries in 2025. This will be a powerful statement about the technological potential of the Chery brand, confirming its readiness to comply with European regulations and compete with traditional automakers.

Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan multibrand plant in Almaty

The Kazakhstani company Astana Motors was chosen as the authorized distributor due to its excellent reputation and successful experience in launching new brands. The companies have been cooperating since 2021, and under the leadership of Astana Motors in Kazakhstan, Chery has become the best-selling Chinese brand with an extensive network: 26 authorized dealers represent 7 models of the brand in 17 cities across the republic. Astana Motors is regularly recognized and awarded by Chery for excellent marketing performance, market leadership and social initiatives, adaptability of the dealer network and high-quality customer service. In addition, Astana Motors is launching production of several Chery models at the domestic multi-brand plant, Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan, in Almaty.

Chery Tiggo 8

Sales in the Czech Republic are due to start this autumn. The first models to be offered on the market will be the Chery Tiggo 7 and the Chery Tiggo 8 – in versions with gasoline and hybrid (PHEV) engines. The Chery models for the Czech Republic will be in an affordable price segment with a focus on the mass consumer. Currently, the company is actively working on creating a dealer and service network in the Czech Republic. Negotiations are underway with a number of potential partners.
