Kazakhstan’s first BYD electric buses were produced at the Astana Motors passenger and commercial vehicle plant. The localized production was shown to Mr. Tian Chunlong, President of BYD Commercial Vehicles, who was on a visit to Almaty.

Sales will start in autumn with the Chery Tiggo 7 and Chery Tiggo 8 crossovers in versions with gasoline and hybrid (PHEV) engines.

Changan reported 18 % sales in the Chinese passenger car segment in May 2025.

The 2025 Chery International Business Conference was held in Wuhu, China, on April 25–27, with nearly 3000 dealers and distributors from 97 countries brought together. As one of its highlights, Chery Kazakhstan, part of Astana Motors, was named the winner in three nominations at once.

At the Changan Auto Global Partnership Conference, the Kazakhstani distributor was recognized as the best in two nominations at once – Key Product Contribution Award and Best Localization Award.
