Kazakhstan’s Breakthrough in Shanghai: Astana Motors Named One of the Best GWM Distributors

On April 24, Great Wall Motor held an International Distributor Conference in Shanghai. More than 600 representatives from 86 countries took part in the event.
The Kazakh company Haval Motor Kazakhstan, part of Astana Motors, received several awards at once as the sales leader, flagship car model sales leader, sales growth leader, and the most efficient dealer network.
The company noted that the awards stand as testimony to the team’s high performance and the effectiveness of the global strategy being pursued.
Mr. Jack Wei, the founder of GWM, gave a welcoming speech at the conference. He pointed out that in 2024, the company doubled its net profit, and a third of that profit was generated by overseas markets. GWM feels secure about its future, relying on new technologies, product quality enhancement, and reliable partnerships.
Eduard Kuznetsov, CEO of Haval Motor Kazakhstan, said that “GWM has been present in Kazakhstan for five years with HAVAL crossovers, TANK SUVs, and GWM pickups. During that time, we have opened 45 dealerships throughout Kazakhstan, launched an online dealer, and introduced a marketplace so that customers could buy cars without leaving home. Today, more than 25,000 satisfied customers choose us, for example, the HAVAL M6 model is in the top 5 most popular cars officially represented on the Kazakhstan market. This year, we are reaching a new level with the start of the serial production of the HAVAL Jolion, the TANK 300, and other models. This is not just a step towards localization but a real contribution to the development of the Kazakhstani automotive industry.”
The distributor has established an official TANK fan club in Kazakhstan and for the second year in a row has been holding exciting test drives and meetings for fans of the brand. The Haval brand also supports sports marathons, youth football, and other events.
The production of the HAVAL and TANK models will be launched at the new multi-brand plant. Astana Motors Manufacturing Kazakhstan is scheduled to open in the second quarter of 2025.
