Astana Motors has been awarded by Kazakhstan’s Government as the country’s major employer. The award was presented to company CEO Beknur Nessipbayev within the framework of the Kazakhstan Global Investment Roundtable (KGIR-2022) in Astana.

«Astana Motors is 30 years old this year. Dozens of thousands of specialists have passed through the company for these years. Now, the company employs 5 thousand people: two plants — Hyundai Trans Kazakhstan and Hyundai Trans Auto, 13 distributorships and 34 dealerships in all regions of Kazakhstan as well as companies engaged in related activities. This year, we start construction of car component plants and a multi-brand car plant for the production of China’s Сhery, Haval and Changan vehicles, which will all give another 2,500 new jobs. Our employees are provided with social benefits, comfortable working conditions, respectable wages, training and career opportunities,” Beknur Nessipbayev, Astana Motors CEO, said.

It should be noted that the Kazakhstan Global Investment Roundtable (KGIR-2022) organized by the Investment Committee of Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry and NC KAZAKH INVEST JSC was held shortly before.

The roundtable was attended by over 500 representatives of leading international and domestic companies, investors, competent experts and opinion leaders, as well as by the head of sector ministries, heads of quasi-public companies and domestic businesses.

The issues discussed included the development of Kazakhstan’s national economy, investment appeal and opportunities for global and regional investors, food security and logistics in the new economic environment.

Within the framework of KGIR-2022, Astana Motors signed memoranda on construction of car component plants with the Almaty Akimat and international companies Nordplast and Motrex. The project investments amount to 15 million dollars. The area of production facilities is 9,500 sq. meters. The enterprises will provide 175 jobs. The launch is scheduled for the first quarter of 2024.
