The new 2022 Chinese HAVAL Dargo challenges the automotive market. Stylish, powerful and technologically advanced, this crossover with its outstanding off-road qualities is created for urban residents who are used to comfort and outdoor activities. The vehicles are delivered to Kazakhstan directly from China and are available in dealerships.

The HAVAL Dargo was available for pre-order since early August. The official presentation took place on September 6 in Almaty. The first customers are already getting their brand-new cars. The cost of Dargo starts from 14.8 million tenge.

The first thing that catches your attention is the stylish design by Phil Simmons. The designer started at Jaguar Land Rover, where he was responsible for SUV design for over 20 years.

The HAVAL Dargo itself is «almost an SUV”. This is the brand’s first car in the ¾ category. If you imagine the car classification scale, it is between the functionality of an urban crossover (2×4) and the off-road potential of an SUV (4×4).

At the same time, the Dargo is taller and wider than its counterparts. Its length is 4,620 mm, width — 1,890 mm, and height — 1,780 mm. Its wheelbase is 2,738 mm, and ground clearance is 200 mm.

The body is presented in four colors: bold orange and calmer classic black, white and gray. The interior combines luxury, comfort, and technology. The driver’s seat is equipped with a massage function. The interior is available in three colors: black, black with orange accents and beige with orange accents. The top version offers a genuine leather interior with perforations and Alcantara (artificial suede) side inserts.

The HAVAL Dargo owner will feel confident and comfortable in any road conditions thanks to all-wheel drive and driver assistance systems. The car is equipped with a head-up display and a multimedia system with a 12.3″ color touch screen, a «transparent hood” function, a traffic-sign recognition system (TSR), a 360° all-round camera, and a reversing assistant; the car «remembers” the last 50 meters of the route and is able to repeat all the movements of the steering wheel in reverse order, which is especially useful in narrow alleys or when leaving a parking space. If you enjoy country vacations, you will definitely like the electronic power steering that provides you with several control modes: Eco, Comfort, Sport, Bumps, Sand, Snow, Mud, Grass/Gravel.

The HAVAL brand was officially presented in Kazakhstan in April 2021. The distributor is Haval Motor Kazakhstan, which is part of Astana Motors.

«Today, HAVAL is in the top 15 of the best-selling car brands in Kazakhstan. This is the first Chinese brand within Astana Motors. We diligently paved the way to the hearts of Kazakhstanis, overcoming stereotypes, proving our reliability and demonstrating a new level of quality and driving comfort. There are currently two pickup trucks and five crossovers in the model range. We are sure that our customers will like the HAVAL Dargo; it will become a bestseller. The company plans to further expand the model range and opens a new large dealership in Mycar Kuldzhinka in Almaty,” said Akylbek Anarbaev, director of Haval in Kazakhstan.
